Rev'd Nanette Woodworth

Welcome aboard, Reverend Nanette Woodworth!

Rev’d Nanette Woodworth is our new Interim Priest in Charge at St. Martin’s at Fork Church where she will begin October 1, 2026. Nanette graduated from University of Connecticut with a BA in French and minor in Music. She completed her Master of Divinity in 1998 at Union Theological Seminary, NYC, and served as a Director of Christian Formation in Episcopal churches in Princeton, New Jersey; St. Augustine, Florida; Atlanta, Georgia; and Greenville, North Carolina, from 2001 through 2019. At that time, she returned to public school teaching (language arts and pre-algebra) and, a few years later, began the ordination process in the Diocese of East Carolina. She completed her Anglican Studies Certificate, a 24-credit low-residence program offered at Church Divinity School of the Pacific (CDSP), Berkeley, California, in 2015. Rev’d Nanette was ordained to the priesthood on December 14, 2019, at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Greenville, North Carolina. She worked at Calvary Episcopal Church, Fletcher, in Western North Carolina, as Associate Rector for Christian Formation and Parish Life from 2019 – 2022, and then at Grace Episcopal Church Yorktown from August 2023 – December 2024 as Associate Rector for Christian Formation. Nanette is a classical flutist who enjoys leading Evensong and Taizé worship, as well as Arts and Spirituality workshops for all ages.

Rev’d Nanette says, “I am excited to combine my experience as Christian Formation Director and Associate Rector with my new priestly duties in this new role of Interim Priest in Charge. My ministry thrives at the intersection of Spirituality, the Arts, Christian Formation. I hope to bring creative and collaborative energy to St. Martin’s at Fork Church so that we can grow into our goals for ministry together. I pray that we may continue as a team to reveal the love of Jesus for all people, engage in uplifting worship, and offer all we do to the glory of God.”

On August 30, 2026, Fork Church bid a sad farewell to Father Nicholas Forti as he begins his ministry in a new community. His 12 years of leadership played out in the vision he brought to us: “We are to be grounded in Scripture, guided by tradition, and growing in grace.” This vision will continue to guide the church. We send God’s blessing to Nik and his family in their new venture.
