Join us for Voices of Freedom August 15

As America celebrates its 250th anniversary in 2026, Virginia commemorates  the 250th anniversary of the Virginia Declaration of Rights and 240th anniversary of the Virginia Statute for Religious Freedom.  The Voices of Freedom Tour celebrates the courage of those who demanded liberty when dissent was still illegal.

On August 15, from 2:00-4:00 pm, visit six sites in Hanover County that witnessed our transformation from a colony where missing church meant jail time, to a commonwealth that pioneered religions freedom for the world. Join us in honoring the voices that echo through these historic places – voices that remind us that freedom is never given, only claimed.

Our own historic Fork Church will be the culmination of the tour which starts in Ashland and ends in Doswell. Join us for a tour of the church and graveyard, music, reenactors, antique cars and a reception.
